Post-Summer Product Updates: New Premieres components & some great updates
Summer is over, but we are still rolling out a set of new features and refinements across Media Center, Mediabank, and Schedules. These updates are designed to make content presentation more engaging, file management more flexible, and everyday workflows smoother and easier to understand.
New Component: Upcoming Premieres
For customers using Schedules and/or VOD, we’re introducing a new component that automatically highlights upcoming film and season premieres, called, you guessed it, Premieres.
The system detects premieres directly from the customer’s published Schedules, meaning no extra work required. For example:
Linear premieres are identified by the premiere flag on the event.
VOD premieres are detected automatically as the first episode in a season.
The component displays key information at a glance, including poster, title, synopsis, channel/platform, and premiere date.
Filter options:
Program type: Season / Episode
Channel/VOD: All or specific
Genre: All or specific - where available
Presentation modes:
Slider, Grid, or List
Optional header
You can find this under Media Center → Pages (left menu) → Select the page you want to add the component to → Add component → under Automatic components you will find Premieres.
Update: Simplified visibility labels in Mediabank
We’ve improved visibility indicators in Mediabank to match how they work across other modules.
Instead of simply showing Published / Unpublished, items now use:
Media Center – when published and visible publicly.
Visible for logged-in users – when access is restricted.
This makes it clearer where and how content is available, while still keeping the green “published” status to indicate visibility.
You can find this under Media Bank → Select workspace → Find collection you want to change → Click the three dots on the right →Select update
Update: Move to private workspaces in Mediabank
Admins now have more flexibility when managing files. Previously, private workspaces and collections were not listed as options when moving or copying files.
With this update, admins can move or copy files into private workspaces/collections just as easily as public ones, making file management more consistent across the board.
You can find this under Media Bank → Select workspace → Find collection you want to move → Click the three dots on the right →Select move
Update: Smarter login flow
We’ve refined the behavior of the login/access component. Previously, users were always redirected to the start page after logging in. Now, they are automatically taken back to the specific page where the login component was placed. This creates a smoother login flow and ensures users land exactly where they intended.
Update: One-time recipient removed in Media Center
The One-time recipient option has been removed from Media Center distribution.
Instead, customers can use Magic Links, which provide the same functionality — allowing content to be shared with external recipients who necessarily don’t have an account.
This keeps distribution simple while preserving flexibility.
You can find this change under Media Center → find a post that is published you want to share once → select the three dots on the right → Generate Magic link
Update: Improved handling of email links
We’ve updated how mailto: links work across the platform. Clicking one now opens the user’s default email client in a separate window, rather than replacing the current browser tab.
This applies in places such as the Media Center menu and Mediabank inbox, and ensures a smoother experience when sending emails via links.
That’s all folks!
