Product Updates January 2025

Dear Customers,

2025 is well underway, and we’re kicking off the year with our first product update! While there are no major new features this time, we’ve made several improvements to make your experience even smoother. Here’s what’s new.

📤 Improved sharing options in Mediabank

We’ve made it easier to share content between Mediabank and other modules. Among the improvements, you can now push and pull video and audio files between Mediabank, the Program Catalog, and the Book Catalog, just like with images. It’s also possible to pull video and audio files from Mediabank into the Screening Room directly from the Upload file page.

These updates will make it easier to manage and distribute your media files across the platform.

📩 Improved flexibility for Brand-based emails

Last autumn, we introduced Brand-based emails in Media Center, allowing you to customise email banners, colour schemes, and sender names based on different brands. Now, we’ve added even more flexibility by introducing a separate sender name field. This means that emails linked to a brand can have a distinct sender name that isn’t necessarily the same as the brand name.

🔎 Control search engine indexing in Media Center

Following customer requests, we’ve now made it possible to exclude specific pages in Media Center from search engine indexing. By default, pages will still be indexed, but admins can now choose to activate a "no index/follow" setting for individual pages. Control search engine indexing in Media Center

🫡 More detailed Audit Logs for admins

Last year, we introduced Audit Logs in the admin interface, allowing you to track events, timestamps, and responsible users for posts, events, pages, and assets. Now, we’ve improved this feature by adding more detailed metadata for each action. This means you can now see additional context, such as changes in access settings, making it even easier to understand what’s happening in the platform.

🪄 Magic Links now available for Screening Room-only customers

Magic Links, which allow you to create temporary shareable links to posts, events, and screeners, have been available for most customers. Now, we’ve extended this functionality to customers who use only our Screening Room feature, giving them the same flexibility to share screeners securely and track engagement.

↪️ Improved flexibility for Brand-based emails

We've also made an improvement to the validation process for TV schedules imported to the Schedules module. Previously, our logic for detecting gaps or overlaps between events was not always sufficient, especially when it came to identifying events with identical start and end times.

With this latest update, we've refined the validation logic to explicitly highlight events that share the same start and end times. Combined with our recent improvement that made these validations channel-specific rather than generic, this enhancement results in a more precise and reliable scheduling experience.

These improvements will help you reduce errors, avoid scheduling conflicts, and ensure that your TV schedules are accurate and consistent, making management simpler and more effective.

👩‍💻 More control over images in Media Center contact cards.

We’ve added a new option in Media Center that lets you decide whether images should be displayed in contact cards sent via email. This gives you more flexibility in how your contact details are presented.

🐛 Some other minor tweaks and bug fixes

As always, we’re making continuous improvements across the platform. Here are a few recent fixes and enhancements:

  • We fixed a bug where scheduled unpublishing of screener posts didn’t work correctly.

  • Resolved an issue that prevented the “Delete all” function from working in contact listings
